We are delighted to invite you to the launch of the media development literature database commbox. The online workshop „Managing Knowledge in Media Development“ will take place on June 18, 2.00 – 3.30 pm CET (Berlin, Brussels, Madrid, Paris). During the launch, we will discuss complementary approaches to knowledge management in the context of international media development with
• Meli Ncube, Centre for Information Integrity in Africa (CINIA): Managing Knowledge in Media Research: Lessons learned from the Resisting Information Disorder project;
• Ivana Bjelic Vucinic, Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD): What works in fostering experience & information exchange and networking? Policy coordination, learning meetings and media assistance mappings;
• Christoph Dietz, Catholic Media Council (CAMECO): Introduction to the commbox, special features and cooperation approaches.
The commbox online repository addresses media practitioners and scholars in media development, including Special Collections developed and maintained by research institutions like the University of Sheffield, the University of Leipzig, WACC, and (in preparation) the Latin American Centre for Advanced Communication Studies CIESPAL (Ecuador), the Catholic University in La Paz (Bolivia) and Quilmes University (Argentina).
