"Intentionally fabricated fake news is an international phenomenon. Digital communication technology is exacerbating the impacts of political propaganda. Counter measures are needed, and they concern many different areas. Multinational tech corporations must be regulated, media users need a solid understanding of how journalists work, and media workers have to live up to high standards. Democracies can protect themselves from those who attack them, but that is not a trivial matter." (Page 23)
