What will the Satellites communicate?

NAEB Journal (Urbana), volume 23, issue 4 (1964), pp. 37-44
"The author describes the achievements to date using the communications satellites — He raises the problem of communication content — What can be communicated? — What does each of us understand by communication for international understanding ', if this is the first aim to be pursued? — The author is sceptical about the realisation of this aim for various reasons, amongst others political, which make this aim difficult, though not impossible, to achieve, despite all the good intentions expressed at the outset by those able to make use of the communications satellites (the wealthy nations of the two power blocs) for the benefit of the poor nations of Africa, Asia and Latin America — The author comments above all on the policy of his own country, the United States, on the question raised."
