"On the eve of the third Unesco conference on the problem of the development of the information media in the developing countries, which was planned to take place in Addis Ababa at the beginning of 1962, the United Nations Organisation asked Unesco to prepare a report before the end of the series of conferences on the development of the information media in the developing countries. These are the main points dealt with in this report: work done in the past to develop the information media; problems involved in the development of the information media; social aspects, problems considered region by region (South East Asia, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Other regions); conclusions, recommendations of general value and recommandations for each individual information medium.
