"The author criticises a certain way of planning radio programmes which overlooks the very broad and very complex nature of the audiences it addresses — The producers of programmes for educational radio often forget that their task is to educate as well as to inform — They should take into account the illiterate section of the public for whom certain programmes, broadcast with increasing frequency, are quite unintelligible and by no means designed for them — Radio educators should be aware of their task and their responsibilities at all levels of their profession."
