En este caso, la presencia de la conciencia contradictoria es evidente, ya que puede inferirse que la opinión pública encuentra una relación entre los medios de comunicación y la discriminación racial. No existe aún una postura pública de rechazo a personajes como el Negro Mama, que han contribuido durante años a la perpetuación de estereotipos negativos de la población afroperuana. En vez de ello, el personaje ha recibido apoyo de figuras públicas y su existencia ha sido justificada en la gran aceptación que posee. Esta aceptación se extiende también a la comunidad afroperuana, ya que una de las estrategias del comediante para defender la existencia del personaje fue solicitar el apoyo de artistas afroperuanos que abogaron públicamente por la permanencia de este personaje, destacando su aspecto humorístico y deslegitimando así las acciones de sociedad civil para su retiro permanente de la televisión. En un contexto en el que los medios de comunicación nacionales no representan adecuadamente la diversidad étnica y la presencia de afroperuanos es casi nula, el uso de la parodia para representarlos podría tener una implicancia relevante en la percepción social de este grupo étnico. En otras palabras, cuando la parodia crea una hiperrealidad en un espacio de realidad ausente, esta tiene como producto una simulación que es entendida como una representación real y validada como auténtica al ser recibida por la opinión pública." Tout de même, dans le monde obnubilé par l’argent et le prestige, les journalistes sont tentés de donner la parole aux leaders plus qu’au plus petits, aux peuples puissants plus qu’aux peuples "moins avancés [...] Au troisième et au quatrième chapitre, nous avons analysé six périodiques hebdomadaires sur une période de 5 mois, pour voir combien ils parlent de l’homme des périphéries. Notre analyse du contenu révèle que le journaliste catholique va dans les périphéries mais qu’il peut encore aller plus loin. Il y a des situations encore ignorées, des laissés-pour-compte. Il ressort de cette recherche que la communication pastorale de l’Église peut encore viser plus haut, ou mieux, plus profond, vers les plus oubliés. La news value de proximité est bel et bien un critère journalistique qui gagne les lettres de noblesse car elle permet d’actualiser l’invitation du Saint-Père d’aller vers les périphéries, d’actualiser la loi d’amour, d’imiter le Bon Samaritain et de laisser les quatre-vingt-dix-neuf brebis bien portante pour aller chercher celle qui s’est égarée.285 Le critère de proximité devient le principe d’action pour la fraternité humaine et la solidarité universelle aux dépens des contraintes économiques, politiques et socioculturelles qui régissent le monde des médias." That the timing of news reports and photos with telenovela production were concurrent, yet the manifest media framing of these people and places proved so radically different, makes this study interesting. More importantly, while the telenovela initially appeared as the more progressive storyteller, latent framing across media platforms harmonized hegemonically, retrogressing Brazilian storytelling to its paternalistic past." a content analysis of Swahili and English Tanzanian media reports published between 2008 and 2011 on albinism and albino murders in Tanzania, and the diverse activities that have unfolded in response to these attacks. Using a human rights framework, the article explores these responses from a social work perspective. It finds that interventions are often framed with reference to African conceptions of humanness. These conceptions are found to be compatible with notions of human rights as relational, in which the various rights and responsibilities of different members of society are seen as interconnected. In practice however, some interventions have resulted in trade-offs between competing rights, causing further harm to victims and their families. To become sustainable therefore, interventions should aim to support all the human rights necessary for the well-being of Africans with albinism, their families and communities.
