"The role of radiocommunications in addressing climate change cannot be overstated. From providing critical information on weather patterns and natural disasters to facilitating coordination across global networks for disaster response, these technologies offer unmatched capabilities. As extreme wea

ther events become more frequent and severe, radiocommunication systems are vital in bridging gaps between remote areas and central emergency operation centres, ensuring that no one is left behind in the battle against climate change. Additionally, the ability to monitor environmental variables through various sensors and satellite networks is essential for understanding the full extent of climate change. By integrating advanced communication systems, we can strengthen our ability to adapt to these changes—improving early warning systems, optimizing resource management, and fostering collaboration across borders and sectors. This brochure highlights the critical role of radiocommunications in tackling the global challenge of climate change. Through enhanced connectivity, data sharing, and technological innovation, we can empower communities, governments, and organizations to both mitigate and adapt to the ever-changing climate crisis. Let us harness the power of technology to create a more resilient, connected, and sustainable future for all." (Foreword)

"This volume explores how religious and spiritual actors engage for environmental protection and fight against climate change. Climate change and sustainability are increasingly prominent topics among religious and spiritual groups. Different faith traditions have developed "green" theologies, launc

hed environmental protection projects and issued public statements on climate change. Against this background, academic scholarship has raised optimistic claims about the strong potentials of religions to address environmental challenges. Taking a critical stance with regard to these claims, the chapters in this volume show that religious environmentalism is an embattled terrain. Tensions are an inherent part of religious environmentalism. These do not necessarily manifest themselves in open clashes between different parties but in different actions, views, theologies, ambivalences, misunderstandings, and sometimes mistrust. Keeping below the surface, these tensions can create effective barriers for religious environmentalism. The chapters examine how tensions are manifested and dealt with through a range of empirical case studies in various world regions. Covering different religious and spiritual traditions, they reflect on intradenominational, interdenominational, interreligious, and religious-societal tensions." (Publisher description)

Verschwörungserzählungen rund um die Klimakrise“ beleuchten, und er will verdeutlichen, was diese Verschwörungserzählungen anrichten – mit der Gesellschaft im Gesamten, aber auch direkt mit denjenigen, die sich gegen die Klimakrise stemmen." his volume, and I am delighted that most of them are from the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) representing all the seven South Asian countries, five of which are from the Hindu Kush Himalayan region. The 29 chapters in the book are organised under six themes: concepts and models; traditional knowledge and sustainable agriculture; technology adoption; disaster risk reduction; urban sustainability; and alternative livelihoods. These chapters highlight stories of creativity, community engagement, and locally applicable solutions. They are powerful and instructive. They offer valuable lessons for researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers." (Foreword, page xv)

"The stories in this AFSA Barefoot Guide show that African farmers, long seen as victims, are beginning to implement lasting, sustainable solutions to the climate crisis in Africa. Indeed, they are examples that could well be followed by all farmers. Through agroecology practices, not only can they

naturally adapt to the inevitable and growing harm of the climate crisis, but they can also make significant contributions to its mitigation. AFSA stands fully behind farmers, pastoralists, fisherfolk and all who support them in learning and working together, so that not only can they survive the climate emergency, but thrive." A broad range of case studies illustrate how these societies, building upon traditional knowledge handed down through generations, are already developing their own solutions for dealing with a rapidly changing climate and how this might be useful on a global scale." "This study identifies and addresses key challenges concerning M&E for climate change adaptation (CCA). It does so by documenting good practices and good practice principles on the development, selection, and use of indicators used in the M&E of adaptation interventions. The study also looks at the

steps and contexts M&E personnel should consider when formulating, selecting, adjusting, and/or using indicators. In addition, the study identifies common themes in the literature and gaps in data—including the role of learning in an adaptation M&E system and the identification of linkages (or lack thereof) between indicators and policy formulation and decisions. The study first looks at M&E for CCA in a broader context to see what the key challenges are (chapter 2), and how M&E is being applied in the adaptation field (chapter 3). It reviews the types of adaptation indicators that are commonly used (chapter 4), and then moves into a narrower discussion of what practitioners need to consider when developing better, more useful indicators. It next documents good practice principles that help define indicators for adaptation interventions (chapter 5). Finally, it looks at how the evaluation-policy interface can support better adaptation policies, and if good practice principles can inform greater uptake of evaluation results as evidence in policy making (chapter 6)." "[...] The briefing looks at the everyday experience of people living in the world’s most populous continent: Asia. It draws on data from BBC Media Action’s Climate Asia project, which interviewed more than 33,000 people in seven countries – Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan

and Vietnam – and compiled the results into the region’s largest ever study of public knowledge of and attitudes towards climate change. In documenting the stories of people and communities in Asia and the larger regional trends they represent, this policy briefing seeks to unleash new insights and new solutions in tackling the enduring challenge of climate change. In particular, this briefing highlights the role that media and communication can play in the adaptation process. For when we listen to those who sit metaphorically “where the earth meets the sky”, we find that many of the obstacles to climate change adaptation are informational and attitudinal in nature and would thus benefit from media and communication interventions."
